Conference Information
The WasteMINZ Annual Conference is an ideal opportunity to keep up-to-date with new technology, management skills and current issues. You will join 450+ representatives from central and local government, waste management specialists, and other entities that operate within the waste management and minimisation space including; manufacturers, engineers, planners, consultants, educators and researchers, as well as environmentalists and community groups.
The conference format includes three auctioned pack days of workshops, key note presentations, technical papers, site tours, updates on various legislation, as well as access to almost 60 Trade Exhibits operating or servicing the waste industry, both from New Zealand and overseas.
The conference theme is chosen to reflect the current key concerns and possible solutions and methodology with WasteMINZ often providing international key note speakers that are specialised in these areas.
In addition the conference provides delegates with strong networking opportunities and a number of social events, including a well-enjoyed formal dinner on the Thursday night. At the formal dinner the awards for best Written Paper, Runner-up Written Paper, best Trade Exhibit and the WasteMINZ Excellence Awards are presented.
