HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES: FOR THE SOLID WASTE AND RESOURCE RECOVERY SECTOR – PARTS ONE AND TWO
PUBLISHED DOCUMENT NOW AVAILABLE
The development of the Health and Safety Guidelines for the Solid Waste and Resource Recovery Sector – parts one and two was undertaken by the WasteMINZ Health and Safety Guidelines Technical Working Group in consultation with the sector over the last three years. The Guidelines have now been finalised and are freely available on the WasteMINZ website (www.wasteminz.org.nz).
The purpose of the guidelines is to provide guidance to the sector to help it move towards good practice in health and safety management and help managers, supervisors and employees understand how to meet their legal obligations.
These guidelines have been developed by the sector for the sector, with the view that “Health and safety is about more than legal compliance. Health and safety is about creating a safer workplace through good management and culture change”.
