WasteMINZ’ contaminated land management sector group have formed a working group to respond to uncertainty created in the NES requirement for a suitably qualified and experienced practitioner (SQEP). A small group of senior contaminated land practitioners and other stakeholders has been formed to explore the potential for an accreditation system for New Zealand.
To express interest or to receive updates and requests for input please contact WasteMINZ’ Sector Group Co-ordinator Nic Quilty.
Over coming months the group will review what a SQEP might look like and the various options for hosting such a system. WasteMINZ will facilitate consultation and regular updates to key stakeholders.
The WasteMINZ conference in Hamilton in October will provide an opportunity for the group to share findings and discuss a range of options.
