We are looking for a passionate individual to engage with the commercial and industrial sector on matters of waste minimisation in the New Plymouth District, as part of our Zero Waste vision.
In this role, you will be responsible for implementing the Council’s Zero Waste vision and objectives in relation to waste minimisation behaviour change programmes. You will work alongside a variety of external stakeholders, create and implement district waste education programmes and administer solid waste licencing as part of the solid waste bylaw.
To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and knowledge of resource recovery and waste generation, collection and handling processes. Experience in the commercial and industrial sector or industrial processes, along with experience in facilitating behaviour change programmes would be an advantage.
