New Plymouth District Council are looking for someone to join their Resource Recovery team to provide education and advocacy on matters of waste minimisation through the implementation of the district’s zero waste minimisation behaviour change programme.
In this role, you will assist in the implementation of the Council’s Zero Waste vision and objectives in relation to waste minimisation behaviour change programmes. You will develop and implement waste education programmes for schools and community groups and assist with regional and national education behaviour change initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and knowledge of resource recovery and waste generation, collection and handling processes. You will be a skilled educator and communicator so that you can successfully advocate and promote the Council’s objectives to a wide range of interest groups, such as schools and the general public.
New Plymouth District Council aims to create and sustain a truly rewarding work environment for their staff. You can expect to start in this role between $66,412 and $72,314.
