Compliance checks for essential workers who need to travel across the alert level boundaries in or out of Auckland will come into force at 11.59pm tonight.

Pop-up testing will be operating on Friday 16 September (the first day of enforcement) at Mercer, to ensure anyone who hasn’t had a test before crossing the alert level boundary, can stop and get one.

Workers who are permitted to cross the boundary will be required to show evidence that they have had a test in the previous seven days. This proof of test will be in addition to travel documentation.
