WasteMINZ’s Conference 2021 for the waste, resource recovery and contaminated land sectors will take place in Hamilton 19-21 October 2021.
The TAO Forum and Contaminated Land Management Workshop will take place 18 October 2021. All details will be available on our dedicated Conference 2021 website.
Please note: Accommodation will be restricted due to some hotels, such as the IBIS, being used as MIQ facilities. We have contacted motels who will give our delegates discounted rates. All the facilities are listed on the Conference 2021 website, along with booking instructions and discount codes. We recommend you book accommodation as soon as possible.

We invite presentation ideas that addressing the topics outlined in our call for presentations (24 June 2021), and copied below.
We want this year’s conference to be our best ever, so we’re keen to hear your ideas for topics you’d like to present.
Please send us an abstract of up to 100 words, describing a topic that fits in with the following theme: ‘Tomorrow, today’: Tē tōia, tē haumatia – Nothing can be achieved without a plan and way of doing things.
After 2020’s upheavals, we think it’s time to focus on the future again, and on the transformational change underway in our sector. This is your opportunity to highlight how our industry’s actions today will help shape our opportunities, our organisations and our planet tomorrow.

If you are selected to present, you will be responsible for your own expenses and must register for the WasteMINZ conference. Presenters receive a 10% discount on the registration fee.
13 July – Deadline for abstracts
21 July – Presenters notified whether their abstract has been accepted
26 August – Initial conference programme released
27 September – Deadline for PowerPoint presentations
