Working as the primary night shift sampler, she was responsible for collecting soil data under time-sensitive conditions while maintaining consistency and quality across the programme.
To support this work, Maria developed tools and systems that were later adopted more widely by the project team. These included a structured field data spreadsheet and improved sample naming conventions, both designed to strengthen traceability and reduce inconsistencies.
