Little & Brave will accept all ‘Little & Brave’ compostable products including bags, wipes and nappies. They will also accept certified commercially compostable bags and gloves.

Acceptance Criteria

Little & Brave accepts the following which they have approved for acceptance at their facility:

• All Little & Brave compostable products (bags, wipes and nappies)
• Certified commercially compostable disposal bags, gloves. The following standards are commercial compostability are accepted:  the European Standard EN13432, the Australian Standard AS4736, or the USA Standards ASTMD 6400 or 6868.

Little & Brave will not accept:

• Non-compostable inorganic waste
• Soft plastics
• Polystyrene filler or foam
• Food cling film 
• Cardboard
• Home compostable products (only products certified as commercially compostable are accepted)

Little & Brave reserves the right to reject any packaging that is presented as ‘compostable packaging’, even if listed as an acceptable input if found to be detrimental in any way to the Little & Brave composting methods, or to Little & Brave compost products.

Fundamental to the success of composting appropriate service ware is the issue of contamination. Little & Brave has a zero-tolerance of contamination. Contamination such as plastics significantly compromises the quality of our compost product. If Little & Brave receives contaminated material it will be diverted to landfill.

Delivery:

Little & Brave will accept delivery of compostable packaging via either the Little & Brave collection service or from individual members of the public.
