Regions Served: Central North Island including Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Taranaki
Revital has 3 facilities in the Central North Island who can accept delivery of certified compostable packaging. Acceptance is on a case by case basis as each facility can accept different quantities and different types of packaging.
Where standards exist all compostable packaging needs to be certified under either the European Standard EN13432, the American Standard ASTM D 6400 or the Australian Standard AS4736,
Revital reserve the right to reject any packaging that is presented as ‘compostable packaging’, even if certified under these standards, if found to be detrimental in any way to the Revital composting methods, or to Revital compost products.
Fundamental to the success of composting appropriate serviceware is the issue of contamination. Revital have a zero tolerance of contamination. Contamination such as plastics significantly compromises the quality of our compost product. If Revital receives contaminated material it will be diverted to landfill – and the cost of landfilling will be charged.
Companies must organise the transportation of compostable packaging to the composting facility.
