18 Nov 2025: Harnessing behavioural science to support waste minimisation

Written by WasteMINZ | 30 July 2025

Session 3 - Harnessing behavioural science to support waste minimisation

Tuesday 18 November, 11am-12:30pm
This is a paid event - see registration fees here

The workshop aims to provide participants with a structured, evidence-informed approach to selecting behaviour change interventions that address key barriers to performing waste minimisation behaviours.

Workshop description:

The workshop will guide participants through the process of matching key behavioural insights (barriers and enablers) to appropriate interventions using the Behaviour Change Wheel framework.  Building upon the foundational behavioural science concepts and data-driven insights explored in the first two BehaviourWorks workshops that WasteMINZ brought to you in March, this session will support you in translating your understanding into real-world action by introducing a range of intervention types and the conditions in which they are most effective.

You will be introduced to practical decision-making tools and case study examples, which will support you to confidently design targeted, feasible, and impactful waste minimisation initiatives.  This session will consolidate learning across the series, empowering you to take the next step in applying behavioural science to your work.

If that sounds like you, then please join Danni Teychenne (Learning Designer at BehaviourWorks Australia) and Kavya Raj (Director of Education at BehaviourWorks Australia) for this 90 minute online training session.
