
Conference Event App
This page gives you all the information you need to know about this year's Event App!
We will be using this app to share the programme with you, in lieu of a printed programme.
After you register, you will be sent an invitation to login to the app, including a username and password.
The app works exactly the same as last year's app (it's just a different launch provider), so if you were with us last year, it should be familiar to you. However, you will still need to download the app again if you used it last year.

WasteMINZ Conference Event App
This year, all the information for the WasteMINZ Conference 2025 will be hosted in the Ignite Event Launcher app. Just download the app on the App Store or the Google Play store.
Once you've downloaded the app, enter the Event Code: WasteMINZ25.
We’d encourage you to upload a profile pic, and ensure your profile is public so you can share your contact details with other conference delegates and message each other easily.
Here are some highlights of what you can do with this app:
- Learn about our speakers, sponsors and exhibitors.
- See who else is attending and message them/share your contact details with them.
- Easily find the rooms your preferred sessions are located in.
- Access our full programme, including information about each presentation in the sessions.
- Ask questions of our keynote speakers.
- Give feedback on keynotes, speakers, panels and workshop sessions.
- Bookmark your favourite sessions, write notes and export them easily.
- Vote for the Best Expo Site.
- Read how-to info for using the app.
- Earn points for visiting our exhibitors and be in to win a prize pack!

How to log in
Search for Ignite Event Launcher in your app store, or download it here:
(Please note, you will have to download the app again if you used it last year, as it's a different launching software)
2. Access your event
Using event code: Wasteminz25
3. Login
You will have been sent an invitation to login to the app, to the email address that you provided in your registration form.
This will give you your unique username and password. Use these to login.
After your first sign-in, you will be asked to set your own password. Please remember this in case you need to log in again.
3. Set up the app
When asked during set up, please make sure you select "Visible to Others" and "Allow Messaging", to ensure other delegates can get in contact with you!
You can update your profile details, including uploading a profile picture using the My Event section.
In the programme section, you can bookmark your favourite sessions. These can be added to your calendar, or you can also find them in your MyEvent section.

Event app FAQs
The contact details you use to register will be entered into the app. Once you've logged in, you can manually change your details except for your name.
When you scan the QR code on someone else's badge, this automatically connects your profiles. You can then access their details under MyEvent, then My Delegates.
You can write notes against their profile and view their contact details.
You can export the notes you write, however you cannot export the contact details of your connected delegates. The app remains active for at least 6 months, so you can use it to find those contact details until then.
Every year at the Gala Dinner, an exhibitor is awarded with Best Expo Site! This year, we are asking you to vote for the best site and this will determine who wins the coveted award.
You can vote by selecting the Best Expo Site menu icon and selecting your favourite exhibitor.
Each keynote will be having a Q&A session after their presentation. We will use the Ignite Event app to ask questions.
Simply click on the Keynote session in the Programme. You'll see at the top of the page there is a heading "Interactive Session - click here to ask a question". Click on this, and you will be taken to new a screen where you can either:
- Vote on a question that has already been asked
- Submit a question
The questions are being moderated by the WasteMINZ team as they come in, so they won't appear in the "upvote" queue immediately.
You will receive points for engaging with the app and engaging with exhibitors, and the person with the most amount of points will receive a sustainable prize pack!
You can get points for:
- Being scanned by an exhibitor
- Adding a post to the activity feed
- Messaging other delegates
- Scanning other delegates
- Asking questions of the keynotes
And much more!
