Plan out the waste. Nail the build.

27 October - 2 November 2025 marked the first ever Construction Waste Week in Aotearoa! We encouraged the public to learn more about the scale of construction waste and hear some great stories of organisations minimising construction waste to landfill.

This year's theme was - Plan out the waste. Nail the build.

Check out the campaign toolkit here and keep next year's dates in mind!

LISTEN

Peter Wolfkamp - The Resident Builder on Newstalk ZB; 26th October & 2 November, 6am-9am - exact timing to be confirmed. On the Sunday either side of Construction Waste Week, Peter will be joined by one of the Construction Waste Working Group's resident waste gurus.  Dr Terri-Ann Berry - Environment Innovation Centre and Mark Roberts- Auckland Council.  Links to their interviews will be made available afterwards.  Listen Live via iHeart or find your local station.
