Contaminated Soil

18 Nov: Webinar - Relocating Contaminated Soil Considerations

Wednesday 18th November 11am-12pm

FREE for members, $59 (excl GST) for non-members

Explore the practical and regulatory considerations of relocating contaminated soil

This webinar explores the practical and regulatory considerations of relocating contaminated soil from two separate source sites to a third receiving site that has been appropriately consented to accept the material. Drawing on real-world project experience, the session will provide guidance on planning, consenting, and managing soil movements while protecting environmental and human health.

Key topics include:

  • Understanding the environmental setting of both source and receiving sites.
  • Establishing the regulatory pathway and obtaining the necessary approvals and consents.
  • Developing management plans for excavation, transport, placement, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Best practice approaches for working safely with contaminated soils.
  • Verification, record keeping, and demonstrating compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

The webinar is intended for environmental consultants, contractors, regulators, developers, and landowners involved in earthworks, contaminated land management, or beneficial reuse projects. Attendees will gain practical insights into achieving compliant and sustainable outcomes when reusing contaminated soil between multiple sites, while balancing environmental protection, project efficiency, and stakeholder expectations.
