Tell us about your organisation

Gleeson Group is a New Zealand infrastructure and logistics business specialising in aggregate supply, bulk haulage, quarrying, spoil removal and managed fill solutions. Operating across Auckland and Waikato, the company delivers integrated services that support civil and construction projects with a strong focus on safety, reliability and environmental responsibility. Its managed fill services provide compliant, efficient disposal solutions for clean and contaminated materials, supported by purpose-built facilities, rigorous acceptance controls and streamlined transport capabilities that help keep projects moving efficiently.

Why did you want to join WasteMINZ? 

In order to participate with and contribute to a leading industry body in the waste, recovery and contaminated land sector.

What topic/issue are you most passionate about when it comes to waste, resource recovery or contaminated land?

Gleeson Group is taking a leadership position in the management of managed fill at our fully consented and approved facility in Huntly. This facility can provide best in class services to the construction and civil sectors in New Zealand. Strategically located in Huntly, the site provides a significant cost advantage over comparable sites located further north.

What are you reading or listening to right now?

Spotify uses AI to compile my playlists so I just listen to what the robot tells me to!!!

Describe your perfect day outside of work

I live on a lifestyle block in north Auckland which tends to absorb all free time.
