Tell us about your organisation

Bluemont®, established in 2004, supplies and distributes leading environmental crisis mitigation solutions from pioneering global brands. We provide protective systems that address fire, flood, and erosion challenges. Our disaster prevention and ecological conservation equipment is recognised worldwide for its quality, effectiveness, and long lasting performance. Growing demand has driven Bluemont® to expand its capabilities and services over time.

Why did you want to join WasteMINZ?

A professional colleague recommended WasteMINZ, recognising that Bluemont’s solutions could genuinely support the sector. Our products offer practical, safe, and costeffective ways to manage landfill challenges such as erosion, leakage, and leachate control. Joining WasteMINZ allows us to contribute these capabilities while learning from industry leaders and collaborating on better environmental outcomes.

What topic/issue are you most passionate about when it comes to waste, resource recovery or contaminated land?

I’m passionate about improving how we manage contaminated land and ageing landfill sites to prevent pollutants from entering soil, waterways, and surrounding ecosystems. Protecting natural resources from leachate, erosion, and poorly controlled waste is essential for resilient communities and longterm environmental health. I’m driven by the challenge of transforming degraded or atrisk areas into safe, stable environments while promoting smarter waste practices that reduce future contamination and safeguard our ecological and cultural landscapes.

Born to Run – Bruce Springstein

Describe your perfect day outside of work

My perfect day outside of work starts with waking up at a beachside campsite and heading straight out for a morning surf. After a long session in the water, I’d enjoy a relaxed brunch with friends before paddling back out for an afternoon surf. As the sun sets, I’d share dinner with friends and family, then wind down with card or board games until bedtime.
