ALGA/WasteMINZ’s sustainable remediation in practice: Online workshop using the SURE tool
Join Louise Wilson, Stephen Maxwell and David Tully for a practical online workshop on applying sustainable remediation principles to contaminated site decision-making.
The session will provide a short introduction to sustainable remediation and the role of environmental, social and economic considerations in remediation planning. Participants will then work through a hypothetical case study using Ramboll’s SURE tool to assess and compare remedial options.
Using a shared online workbook, participants will score selected sustainability indicators, then review the combined results and discuss how indicator selection, scoring, and weighting can influence outcomes. The session will conclude with questions and discussion.
