Please note that each registration is for that specific person and cannot be shared amongst team members. For example, if you have a three-day registration, only the person named on the badge can attend for all three days. If others in your team would like to attend different days, they must register separately. For further info, contact CJ on cj@wasteminz.org.nz or visit us on the registration desk.

Get into your sessions quickly!

There are capacity limits for each room, so if you want to guarantee a spot in your favoured sessions, make sure you head to the session rooms quickly.

No recording of sessions

Please do not record sessions. We will be sending out slides after the conference so you can see them. If you’d like to share your learnings with colleagues, a notes feature is available on the app that you are able to export and share.

Conference app

This year, all the information for the WasteMINZ ALGA Conference 2026 will be hosted in the Eventify app. Just download Eventify on the App Store or the Google Play store. Once you've downloaded the app, search for WasteMINZ or ALGA.

You should have received an email inviting you to log in to the app and providing further information about how to use it. You must use the same email address you registered with to login, as this will give you access to all the best features of the app! If you haven’t received it yet, contact Leeana on leeana@wasteminz.org.nz .

We’d encourage you to upload a profile pic, and ensure your profile is public so you can share your contact details with other conference delegates and message each other easily.

There will be two buses, leaving from outside the main doors of TSB Arena to the left, in the parking zone.

WasteMINZ and ALGA staff members will be outside the buses checking registrations. Please ensure you are on the correct bus – they will have signs in the front window.

You must wear closed-in shoes, and if you own a hi-viz vest, please bring it along with you.

The Southern Landfill bus will return to the TSB Arena via the airport – ensure you have your luggage with you if you are being dropped at the airport.

Gala dinner – Stronger together

This year’s theme ‘Stronger together’ can be interpreted in a variety of ways. Wear complementary colours. Get together with others and wear different outfits in varying shades of the same colour, matching or interlocking jewellery, or shared motifs. Co-ordinate bow ties or pocket squares, or wear colour-blocked patterns or complementary patterns that tie in with someone else’s outfit. Think outside the box. The sky is the limit!

This year’s extravaganza takes place on Wednesday, 20 May, with pre-gala drinks available from 6pm-7pm.

We look forward to seeing you there! Remember – there’s an award for the Best Dressed of the night! Once again, we will be hosting an op shop, courtesy of Mary Potter Hospice, in our expo hall for those of you who need a bit more inspiration.

We will host a photo booth, where you can enter your individual email address. We won’t be releasing any of the photos until after the event, and they will only be released to people who request them (who must be in the photos).

Please note: There will be beer and wine available on the tables, and a bar will be open for further purchases. No outside alcohol can be brought into the venue for health and safety reasons. Anyone who is found with alcohol that has been brought in from outside the venue will be asked to leave immediately.

Coats/luggage

There will be a place to store your coats and luggage when you arrive at the venue, please refer to the app or ask at the Registration Desk inside the Expo Hall when you enter.
